Bar Rescue - The Cave Sports Bar Update

On this week's episode of Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer and crew are in Anaheim, California to rescue The Cave Sports Bar.  The Cave Sports Bar's owner is about $200,000 in debt and her son Jaime isn't helping things out.  He is the bar's manager and has hurt the business by not doing his job correctly such as not training staff.  The bartenders at the bar have a tendency to over serve customers and also themselves.

During the Bar Rescue makeover, Jon Taffer decided to keep the name of The Cave Sports Bar. Let's take a look at some information, reviews, and updates for The Cave Sports Bar since Bar Rescue came and made all of the changes to the bar (All reviews are post-Bar Rescue):

Positive Reviews:

  • "A cool little place a lot smaller in person than it looks in pictures. I'd go again though. They have plenty of sports on and a good selection of alcohol with a nice staff."
  • "Cynthia was the bartender and she was awesome! It was busy and she still made time to make us great drinks and have small talk. We will be back next time we come to Disneyland!"
  • "Small place, seems to have several locals. Nice place to have inexpensive drinks. Would be a descent place for tourists to check out, but don't expect much. I like it cause I can watch my local sports teams."
  • "Great place to have a beer and just chill. Especially during baseball season! Service is great, with a great variety of beer on tap. Bartenders are super sweet."
  • "Good jukebox, great bartender and good variety on tap as well as drinks for the wife! Bartender even gave a great recommendation for Chinese food!"
  • "Love this bar! Great dive bar with a good beer selection. Ask for Cynthia, she's the best!!!!!"
  • "Great little sports bar in the middle everything else that's Disney. Friendly staff and good selection of beers. Food available from the Mexican restaurant next door."
  • "This place was raging on a Monday night!!!! Yes! Good vibes, fun folks, great service and killer prices on good beers! Can't beat it!"
  • "This place is well worth your time and money. It has a modern look to the place that's very clean and fun to be in. Before heading out to spend your time and money I recommend you come here"
  • "Casual bar and a real one. Prices are as reasonable as you can expect. Rather it's the cheapest given its surrounded by the hotels all around. Open till late. Great to go as a group or just alone. The bar tenders are friendly and cordial."

Negative Reviews:

  • "This place has potential to bring in a lot of customers for a good time if only the bartender was so rude. We had to wait so long for our drinks and she was so nasty when we asked for a refill. The music was straight gangster rap so we put money in and they kept skipping our songs."

Conclusion:

Jon Taffer and Bar Rescue decided to keep the name of The Cave Sports Bar and the reviews for the bar have been overwhelmingly positive since the makeover.  The reviews have always been good at the bar with people liking the cheaper prices for drinks versus the expensive Disneyland prices in close proximity.  People also seem to compliment the staff and love the bartenders.  The Cave Sports Bar is opening another location shortly, so they definitely are doing fine.  It doesn't seem like The Cave Sports Bar was really in need of a rescue.
