New Episodes Of Bar Rescue Begin June 21st

New episodes of Bar Rescue will begin Sunday, June 21st on Spike TV.  There will be ten new episodes and this will still be considered the fourth season of the show.  The episodes will feature bars in San Francisco, CA, Reno, NV, Portland, OR, and San Diego, CA.

The first new episode will be at Park 77 in San Francisco, CA where the bar is being run into the ground by an immature family member.  The preview video of the episode is below and there is a couch in the bar that a porno was supposedly filmed on.  If anyone has proof of this couch being in a porno, send it to me for the episode update.

  1. Yeah, that's nice but ... are they gonna feature the same old expensive makeovers and name changes or will there actually be more focus on the progress of the owners, management, and employees themselves? I dunno about most of you BR regulars but I'm starting to see this show go downhill just like restaurant impossible and here's why. The owners, management, and employees show no sign of being committed to changing and I notice that the more recent episodes of this show are showing faster business decline as a result. I and some others here have been saying this but no matter how much building material changes and/or equipment upgrades are provided, nothing will change if the owners and management themselves don't change. Is it too much to ask that Taffer and his production crew hold off on renovations including name changes and focus on progress from the owners, management, and employees themselves 6 weeks to 3 months following the rescue before rewarding them with big and fancy upgrades? There are owners such as those of Piratz, Wonderbar, and Sandbar who undo the changes anyway and then there are stupid owners such as Richard of LA Brew CO who fail even with a computerized system that does all the brewing for them. I don't know where the hell Taffer and his production team came up with the idea of fancy upgrade rewards even before the owners deserved it. Having they been watching too much Scooby Doo and following their dumb "will you do it for a scooby snack" faith based ninnying? I am sorry if I offended anyone here but change starts with owners and management long before any renovations. It should also be noted that on some of these episodes, the place was doing better before it tanked so it wasn't necessarily the decor that needed changing but pathetic ownership and/or management that did.

  2. Pretty sure the porn filming was BS John says in the episode that he found the video in just a few seconds I looked for it out of curiosity and it either doesn't exist or he knew ahead of time EXACTLY where to find it so I'm calling BS on the whole we shot a porno here thing

  3. Stay tuned for the update.... Although I do agree with that 30 second google find by Taffer. No way he found it on his own.

  4. I agree with so much of what you posted. But the best episodes are the ones where the owners know they need help and are willing to change immediately. The instant makeover is a great draw for viewers. Unfortunately, that's been about a handful for the entire run? Without a doubt the owners are a-holes, but people love to see a remodel on every show so it would be impossible to drag the action out over months. Also, unlike RI, the owners are asked to change the name and concept of a bar, and that's really tough to get owners to accept.

  5. You can get this episode free on Amazon Prime right now! Husband and I were pleasantly surprised to see a new episode up.

  6. "but people love to see a remodel on every show"

I do agree that remodels can be very attractive looking. That said, the newer shows appear to be showing that remodeling isn't necessarily making a difference in the long run and in some cases even short term.

"so it would be impossible to drag the action out over months."

There are tons of bars that deserve to be rescued out there but aren't given a chance. There could a better classification such that some bars really do need a remodel and name change get that in one episode itself while others can start out with improvements from the owners, management, and employees themselves. Bar Rescue could then host followup episodes (6 weeks to 3 months later) where those bars that were rescued but not remodeled or given name changes have proven themselves worthy of that second stage of transformation. I admit that it probably is a complex plan but Bar Rescue is itself in need of some big changes.

  8. I couldn't believe it myself so I did some digging and eventually found it. Check out the porn website public disgrace and look for a post around early 2013. I believe the actress in it was Mia Gold. The bar manager was in it. The actually filmed the porn with people in the bar. The customers had to sign a waiver stating that they did not not mind seeing a live sexual performance and they would be filmed.

  9. Which BR episode are you referring to (the one about the owners doing a porn video)?

  10. The new episode that will premiere next week. The episode is already up on Spike OnDemand.

  11. Thank you. I stopped watching BR about two years ago (science more or less was replaced by drama - let's not forget the "fake editing," as I pointed out the black shirt that changed within the same scene), but I still enjoy reading your re-cap and updates. Furthermore, we lost Spike when Suddenlink pulled the plug after the negotiations failed. Hence, I can only watch it on their website if I wanted to.

  12. That's disgusting, but the way people are today - I'm not surprised.

  13. I'm confused. New Episodes of BR begin June 21.... then "The first new episode will be at Park 77 in San Francisco, CA " But that show has already aired. So am I missing something?

  14. After a certain point, these episodes fall into a few categories: Filthy kitchens and bars, management and/or staff allowed to drink or misbehave, wretched ambience and configuration, and a few others. I find it hard to believe that a manager/owner who calls in John Taffer for help has not already - probably because he saw the first season of Bar Rescue - made a point of making the kitchen crew to scrape off years of grime, sweep out the dead rodents and their droppings, and had the bar staff generally spruce up BEFORE Taffer was called (or at least before Taffer arrived). I would dare say that if the owner/crew had not thought to clean up the infestations and the scrape out the grime without the necessity of Taffer throwing a snit, then the place will fall back on bad habits and the grime will start accumulating the moment Taffer leaves.

  17. I just realized...if too many people try to get through The Butt Funnel at one time and can't, what it can be called is too off color for me to type. Use your imaginations!
