Bar Rescue - Campbell's Irish Pub (Packy's Pub) Update

Photo - Twitter
On tonight's episode of Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer and crew are in Milwaukee, Wisconsin once again to try to rescue Packy's Pub.  The bartender Guppy is drinking a ton behind the bar while on the job, and Jon Taffer is surprised he can stand up straight.  Also, the owner Patrick is supposedly failing to pay all of his employees.

During the Bar Rescue makeover, Packy's Pub was renamed to Campbell's Irish Pub, which is still an Irish themed bar.  The bar seems to have kept the name.  Let's take a look at some information, reviews, and updates for Campbell's Irish Pub since Bar Rescue came and made all of the changes to the bar:

Reviews since the makeover:
  • "Bar rescue makeover made tavern much more comfortable.  My wife likes going there too.  Food is good and irish coffee, Guiness, etc is great.   It is very comfortable with great bartender and nice customers."
  • "Love this place and the new look is awesome!!"
  • "Wow this place looks great. Let's just say not being a regular, but having been there enough times over the years to notice the overhaul it looks great. Its fresh. Congrats!!"
  • "love the new look and the new food! cozy, welcoming, clean and reasonably priced. The openfaced Prawn Sandwich was wonderful and fresh! The Guiness Beef Stew was very good. I did miss potatoes, but that is ONLY my personal preference. The flavor was spot on. I had a cocktail that was just what I needed. Fruity, refreshing and dangerously delish! keep up the good work! i'm bringing my husband for a great bite of Pub Grub soon."

  1. Taffer hit a home run with the interior redesign. I get over to Milwaukee once in awhile, I'll have to stop in for dinner and a Guinness.

  2. I'm glad Packy pulled himself together. If he can keep it up, the pub will be OK. I liked learning a new bar term, snug, in this episode.

  3. I love that a supposed Irish bar is centered around a Scottish clan. Clan Campbell is one of the original clans of the Scottish highlands and if you're wondering how I know this, I am a clan Campbell descendant!

  4. Nobody cares how you knew that Campbell was Scottish, most people already know that, genius. Patrick was born and raised in Dublin, so whether his last name is Campbell or Johnson, what the hell does it matter?

  6. I went to Milwaukee a couple of weeks ago, & stopped in. The place was much smaller then I expected, as was the menu. Only 8 menu items????? We went in, sat at a table & got ignored. I had to go up to the bar to order drinks, & got ignored when we needed refills, so we left.

  7. Agree, whoever the design team was did an amazing job. Out of all the episodes I've seen, this was definitely the best job they EVER did. Beautiful bar.

  9. To the idiots who are making a big deal either jokingly or seriously about Campbell being used for an Irish Pub...................(Cutting and pasting)
Campbell is the third common surname in Northern Ireland. So it is very common in Ireland.

  11. Im from the mackenzie clan and Cremeans(mccarthy) of southern ireland mackenzies of scotland and one thing we had in common was war with the macdonalds who thought they were kings of scotland where the other two ancient clans of scotland mackenzie and campbells defeated them campbells are everywhere across scotland as well but they were all the same clan controlling two different castles yet one of the most despised clans of scotland for thier atrocities to other clans cant say much for clan mackenzie as after numerous attempt to conquer mackenzie lands were failed by the macdonalds mackenzie launch there own massive assault into macdonalds lands and commited atrocities against them and never stopped until another large clan intervened
